Rules and Grading
RULES
Community
1. Come to class.
2. Come to class on time.
3. Come to class prepared to work.
4. There is NO gum, candy, food, pop, etc. allowed in the classroom.
Mindfulness
5. Profane language is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
6. When a student or teacher is speaking, your attention should be on that person.
7. Discounting, belittling, and/or ridiculing your fellow classmates and peers will not be tolerated.
8. Keep your hands to yourself. Do not put your hands on other people or other people’s property.
Community, Mindfulness, and Empathy
9. Any student that is not in his/her seat when the bell rings will be counted tardy. An accumulation of tardies will result in a grade deduction.
10. I encourage you to ask questions when you are unclear about an assignment, comment, idea, etc. Questions are good so do not feel embarrassed to ask them. If you have a question, most likely someone in the class has the same question.
11. Refrain from bringing cell phones to class.
Grades
Grades are earned based on points for classwork, assignments, performance, participation, and end unit assessments.
A 100-90
B 89-80
C 79-70
D 69-65
F 64 and below
I have read the rules and grades set forth above and I agree to abide by all such terms of the contract.
